GERHARD AND LENA MEINERS(MINERS) IMMIGRATED FROM OLDENBURG GERMANY 1883 THROUGH 1900. MY HUSBANDS GREAT GREAT GRAND PARENTS LIVED IN L PRECINCT NEAR UTICA. THEY MAYBE BE BURIED THERE BUT WE ARE UNABLE TO LOCATE ANY MENTION OF THEM AFTER 1900 CENSUS. BELIEVE LENA DIED AROUND 1899 AND GERHARD REMARRIED A JENNIE DOTY IN 1900. THEY MAY NOT HAVE SPOKEN ENGLISH. THERE WERE CHILDREN TILLIE, MINNIE GERHARD, ADOLPH, HENRY AND META.
My great-great grandparents (Feary/Renninger) came to Seward County from Illinois after 1880. My great grandparents (Amos/Feary) were married in Illinois and came to Seward County where my grandmother was born in 1895. My grandparents were Sarah Amos and Cyrill Tomandl. Cyrill came with his parents (Tomandl/Novak) to America ca,.1891 from Moravia . Sarah and Cyrill were married in March 1913. My only living aunt was born in Bee in 1914. I am still in search of more history on the Feary/Renninger gg-grandparents. I saw 2 gravestones in the Seward cemetary years ago but they were hard to read. I can't seem to place them anywhere in Pennsylvania. I did place them in Indiana, Marshall Cty. when my great grandmother was born in 1860/1. I remember that my grandfather Cyrill used to be a caretaker at the cemetary. He used to do lots of things in Seward. My brother and I spent 2 or 3 summers with grandparents when we were very young.
I believe several of my family members are buried in one of the Beaver Crossing cemeteries. The family name is Arasmith, and Alvin Arasmith is my great, great grandfather. The family had a pharmacy in Beaver Crossing.
My 3rd great-grandfather, Benjamin B. Archer, homesteaded in Seward County in 1869 along with his son, Edward C. Archer. I have been researching Edward's descendants. Any help would be appreciated!
