Looking for information on Maude Mae (Ray) Hageman's parents' families. Maude was the wife of Albert Roy Hageman. Her parents were John Peter Ray and Josephine Kirby (Ralph) Ray. The information I have is that John Peter's parents were William Ray and Nancy Jane McCalla, although there is a question about the spelling of McCalla. Josephine's parents were Francis Asbury Ralph and Elizabeth Taylor Kennedy Ralph. Family stories say Francis came to Seward Co., Nebraska in a covered wagon and started a grist mill. I think they are buried in a Seward Co. cemetery. My mother once told me that John Peter Ray was an Irish stonecutter. I have little information on either of these families.
I just saw a link to this post while searching the Internet and think I can help with Francis Asbury Ralph if you still need information. Francis was born in New Jersey in 1811. He is buried in a Protestant Cemetery in Fairmont, Fillmore County, Nebraska. He is my GR.Gr.Gr. Grandfather his son James Kennedy Ralph is my gr.gr.grandfather. James left Nebraska and ended up in Washington state were there is a large group of Ralphs from this line and where i was born. I you would like further information let me know and we can compare notes.
I'm trying to track down any information regarding my grandfather who was a German Lutheran minister in the early 1900's near Emerald, Nebraska. His name was Ferdinand Restau. If anyone has any information regarding his church, church history, parsonage location, etc., I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
