MORGAN, FIRMAN

I am researching the family of Daniel MORGAN b. 1795 in New York. He married Anginette FIRMAN b. 1805 in Ontario, Canada. They had the following children: Thomas K., Wilhelmina, Washington Lewis, Alexander, William Elsworth, Jane, Maria, Peede, Lydia, Absolom, and Hester. The family apparently left Seward Co. prior to 1859 as Hester's place of birth is listed as MO.

According to the research I have gathered thus far, the MORGAN family was either the first or second white familly to settle in what would become Seward Co. I would be interested in knowing what, if any, role they may have played in the county's early history.

It is believed that a brother to Anginette may have also settled in Seward Co. There may be alternate spellings such as FURMAN, FUHRMAN, etc.

My husband is a descendent of Washington Lewis MORGAN.
